Join us on an exciting journey along the stunning west coast of Madeira Island, where every turn reveals a new breathtaking landscape. Departing from Funchal, we head to the impressive Cabo Girão, one of Madeira’s most iconic viewpoints, known for its spectacular panoramic views over the ocean and the island’s south coast. We then continue towards the picturesque village of Ponta do Sol, following the west coast before climbing to the magnificent Paul da Serra plateau, at around 1,400 metres above sea level. Our adventure then takes us to the magical Fanal, located within Madeira’s Laurissilva Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Whenever conditions allow, we also enjoy an exciting off-road experience surrounded by nature. We continue to Ribeira da Janela and then to Porto Moniz, famous for its natural volcanic swimming pools. Here, you will have free time to enjoy lunch, explore the village or take a refreshing swim in the natural pools. On the return journey, we stop in Seixal, known for its impressive mountains, waterfalls, black-sand beach and natural swimming pools. Especially during the high season, access to the Seixal beach area may be restricted due to traffic, access limitations or other local conditions. In these cases, the stop may be made at a panoramic viewpoint in Seixal, still offering excellent views over this beautiful part of Madeira’s north coast. We then continue along the north coast to São Vicente, surrounded by some of Madeira’s greenest and most dramatic landscapes. Throughout the entire journey, you’ll enjoy incredible viewpoints, waterfalls, mountain roads and unique landscapes, making this tour an unforgettable experience through the wild beauty of Madeira Island.
